Electronic enrolment in optional subject Physical Training starts 17.9.2025
The schedule of sport classes for the summer semester will be available from September.
Students are advised to study the offer carefully before the electronic enrolment opens and familiarise themselves with individual sports in the course tab in IS and Calendar (www.cesa.vutbr.cz).
BUT ensures 2.0 hours per week of physical and sports activities through the optional subject PE, provided free of charge. In accordance with the PE Teaching Guidelines, it is treated as an elective course, with credit being awarded upon completion. PE training programs in BUT sports facilities take usually 13 weeks, there is a 10-week training program in rented facilities, one lesson takes 55 mins.
Electronic enrolment of the optional Physical Education course is via the information system (IS) and has got two rounds. The student uses his/her ID to be able to enrol.

At the time IS opens, students start to enrol in PE lessons or have to cancel their enrolled sports by themselves if there is a conflict with the faculty schedule or if they are not able to attend the classes regularly. First come first served. NOTE: No changes after 27/9/2025 available!
Erasmus sport offers classes in selected sports in English. (Badminton, Tennis, Indoor-cycling, Fitness Training, TRX, Yoga, Futsal, Workout, etc.)
Classes start from 17.9.2025, unless otherwise stated in the decree (sports conducted in blocks: hiking, nordic walking etc.) and sports outside the BUT sports facilities (swimming, ice hockey, skating, fencing, gymnastics). Some sports start with a joint information session - it is indicated in the course card. Sport equipment is available for rent.
Outside of the scheduled classes, students can perform sports in their free time and use the free capacity of the sports complex Pod Palackého vrchem, Technická 14 (fitness running, inline skating, workout training). Admission is free of charge; students must present a valid student ISIC card at the reception of the sports hall. Badminton and tennis are paid and require online reservation (https://www.cesa.vut.cz/verejnost/sportoviste) or booking at the reception of Sport Hall (SAPPV). All students participating in free time sport activities have to follow the Campus Operating Regulations and the instructions of the Campus Administration staff. Study the offer of sport events and courses in the Calendar (www.cesa.vutbr.cz). Winter semester starts with BUT SPORT WEEK 15 -21/9/2025. It is the time to come and try different sports activities and choose the right sport activity and enrol in PE at BUT!
